Even if you're a Digital Michelangelo, making design a standalone point to position your brand is a faulty strategy at best.

The human mind develops mental images to on different code patterns. One of the theories that explain the cognitive behavior of the human mind is the dual code theory. In its simplest form dual code theory can be defined as the "combined nature of verbal and non-verbal elements to help the human mind interpret information. In an even simpler form "the things that communicate with you visually and verbally will form a strong imprint on your mind than either of these two components working separately.
The challenge lies in making the verbal and non-verbal components work in symphony with each other. Any digital entity that executes its design strategy in alignment with its content strategy will be able to strengthen its brand position. Too much focus on the design elements and ignoring the brand communication will make your brand obscure in an ever-growing competition.
